- pyrfu.plot.ion_brazil_plot_thresh.ion_brazil_plot_thresh(ax, legend: bool = True, colors: list | None = None)[source]#
Add the thresholds for the electromagnetic ion temperature anisotropy driven instabilities from linear Vlasov theory [1] [2] . The thresholds are given at \(\gamma = 10^{-2} \omega_{ci}\) . Also changes the scale and limits of the axis to make it in form of a Brazil plot.

ax (matplotlib.axes._subplots.AxesSubplot) – Axis where to plot the thresholds in a Brazil plot format.
